Personal
health and dental plans pick up where the government plans (the Medical
Services Plan of BC and Pharmacare) leave off. For example, for British
Columbians under age 65, Pharmacare begins paying a portion of presription
drug costs only after you, or your family, have spent more than $1,000
in a year. Pacific Blue Cross (PBC) Extended Health Plans start by covering
80% of prescription drug costs (after a small annual deductible). As
a second example, if you are hospitalized, Medical Services Plan will
pay for your stay in a ward. If you choose to upgrade to a semi-private
or private room, PBC plans will help pay for the additional cost.
Pacific Blue Cross has a family of health, dental and travel plans to
meet all of your needs and your budget.
